Formal invitations to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding ceremony were sent out Wednesday and Thursday, and although St. James Palace declined to publish the official guest list, details are already starting to trickle out.
Celebrities who reportedly received the gilded cards were David Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. Other rumored invitees include Elton John, a friend of William's late mother, Diana, and Kanye West, whom William selected to perform at a 2007 tribute to Diana.
President Barack Obama and other world leaders were also left off the attendance list, although British Prime Minister David Cameron and foreign royal families were included.

Mr Berlusconi denies wrongdoing and says he is the victim of a long-running campaign by left-wing judges - an accusation he repeated during a dinner with foreign journalists in Rome and quashed rumours that he intends to stand for president in 2013. He offered his cabinet secretary Gianni Letta as a possible candidate.
Mr Berlusconi, 74, first became prime minister in 1994. He has a fortune estimated at $9bn (£5.6bn) and his business empire includes Italy's three main private TV stations.

Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy vow Gaddafi must go
Barack Obama, David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy say Nato must maintain military operations to protect civilians and maintain pressure on Col Gaddafi.
To allow him to remain in power would "betray" the Libyan people, they write.
Signs of division remain within Nato, which is struggling to find additional combat aircraft for its strikes.

President Barack Obama signed the budget agreement covering federal spending for the remainder of the current fiscal year on Friday, bringing an end to any remaining fears of a government shutdown.
The bipartisan deal, which won approval Thursday from both the House and Senate, cuts $38.5 billion in spending while funding the government through September 30.
In a White House statement, Obama expressed his objection to two sections of the agreement, which prohibit the use of funds to transfer Guantanamo detainees into the United States and to move detainees into the custody of foreign countries unless specific conditions are met.

Finns have gone to the polls to elect a new parliament in a vote that may affect future EU bail-outs if a rising nationalist party does well.
Finland is currently governed by an EU-friendly four-party coalition led by Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi's Centre Party and the conservative National Coalition Party (NCP).
Opinion polls suggest the NCP will have a narrow lead, just ahead of the Centre Party and the opposition Social Democrats, making a new coalition the most likely outcome.
